Athens Highway water main work scheduled

GAINESVILLE - Water service along a stretch of busy Athens Highway will be interrupted for most of the day Thursday.

The Gainesville Public Utilities Department says, while the hours are approximate, the work is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. and be over by 5:00 p.m.

The water will be shut off while crews complete water main improvements between Gillsville Highway and Barrett Road.
