The White County Board of Education Thursday night heard a report from Sandy Bales, Assistant Principal at the high school. Bales said when Principal Bryan Dorsey first arrived last year, he began looking at all policies at the school, which included school clubs.
According to Bales, who presented the report to the board because Dorsey was unable to attend due to a death in the family, the intentions are to limit the active clubs at the school to those related to academics.
The changes dealing with the clubs are only part of the overall review of the high school system policies, said Bales.
