Crennel to become Browns' head coach

CLEVELAND - Romeo Crennel has become the New England Patriots&#39; former defensive coordinator. Crennel&#39;s agent tells The Associated Press that Crennel has accepted the Cleveland Browns&#39; head coaching position.<br> <br> Agent Joe Linta says he received a phone call from Browns president John Collins about two minutes after the Patriots beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-21 in Super Bowl 39 on Sunday. Linta will begin contract negotiations with the Browns on Monday. A deal could be announced as early as Tuesday.<br> <br> The Browns went 4-12 under Butch Davis and Terry Robiskie last season.
