Ga Tech 73, Bethune-Cookman 46

<p>Anthony Morrow scored 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds in Georgia Tech's 73-46 victory over Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.</p><p>Zam Fredrick added 12 points and seven assists for the Yellow Jackets (6-4), who used a different starting lineup for the third time in four games.</p><p>Freshman D'Andre Bell had six points and five rebounds as he started in place of Mario West, who could miss two to three weeks after suffering a toe injury in an eight-point loss Wednesday at Air Force.</p><p>Sam Barber, who led Bethune-Cookman with 17 points, scored 15 in the first half despite playing just 10 minutes before intermission.</p><p>The Wildcats (4-7) were coming off a 75-68 win at South Florida, but hit just 28.8 percent of their shots. Antonio Webb was 0-for-7 on 3-point attempts, 1-for-14 overall.</p><p>After Michael Williams' basket cut the Jackets' lead to 34-29 with 18:38 remaining, Bethune-Cookman went the next 7:40 without scoring.</p><p>Re'Sean Dickey pulled down eight rebounds for Tech.</p><p>Alade Aminu's putback with 9:34 remaining began a four-point possession for the Jackets. Though he missed a chance to convert a three-point play, Aminu watched as Morrow grabbed the rebound and was fouled two second later.</p><p>Morrow, who bumped his scoring average up four percentage points to 16.5, hit the ensuing free throws that gave Tech a 53-31 lead.</p><p>The Jackets improved to 22-0 against members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.</p><p>Bethune-Cookman led 12-10 on Mitchell's layup at the 9:39 mark of the first half.</p><p>Tech also played without freshman Lewis Clinch, who missed his fourth straigth game with a stress fracture in his left leg. Injuries to Clinch and West left Paco Diaw as the Jackets' only reserve player on scholarship.</p>
