GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville City Council will be busy with public hearings on plans for a number of large projects when it meets Tuesday night.

Included is a proposed 152-acre industrial park on Cornelia Highway near Howard Road and a 420-acre mixed-use residential development for senior citizens at McEver and Brown's Bridge roads.

Also on the agenda: controversial plans for an office and auto detail tent on Florence Dr. and plans for a complex of offices and townhomes and/or condominiums on Sylvan Woods Lane between Green St. and Bradford St.

In addition, the council is expected to consider a plan to lift the ban on fortune telling in the city but to limit fortune tellers, clairvoyants and the like to Light Industrial (L-I) and Heavy Industrial (H-I) zoning districts.
