GAINESVILLE - The number of permits for new, single-family homes in Hall County increased last month by more than 20 over the month before.

Figures from Gainesville-Hall County Building Services show there were 97 such permits approved for unincorporated parts of the county in November. Seventy-six were okayed in October.

In the City of Gainesville, eight were approved, compared to 20 in October.

And, there was $6 million worth commercial/industrial projects okayed in the county... $2.6 million in the city.
