Hearing next week for proposed HCSB pay raise

GAINESVILLE - The first of two public hearings on a proposed pay raise for Hall County School Board members will be held next week.

The session will begin at 7 o'clock Tuesday night at school board offices on Green Street.

As we first reported earlier this month, the plan calls for increasing monthly salaries for the five board members by $150 each.

Salaries have not been increased in fifteen years and are currently set at $450 per month for each board member. The second hearing will be held January 9th.
