GAINESVILLE - Gainesville will be site of one of a series of house parties across the country Tuesday night as the Democratic Party kicks off its push to next next year's elections.

Called Unite For Regime Change, the gatherings are described by the party faithful as the beginning of a campaign to "run the Republicans out of office," replacing them with, " compassionate, caring, thoughtful, informed people who will change our world."

The Gainesville meeting, one of six in northeast Georgia that night, will be held at Hall County Democratic Party headquarters on Athens Street at 7:00.

Other gatherings planned in northeast Georgia as of mid-morning Friday:

Elizabeth Hinesley, Cornelia, 6:00
Union County Senior Center, Blairsville, 6:00
Home of Jim and Mary Smith, Eastanollee, 6:00
Home of Jamie Robinson, Fightingtown Drive, Blue Ridge, 6:00
Maddux Home, Big Canoe, 6:00
