Retired Jefferson business, civic leader dies

JEFFERSON - A memorial service is set for Monday for Thomas Marion Bryan II, a retired Jefferson business and civic leader who died Thursday.<br> <br> Bryan, who was 78, retired in 1990 as president of Jefferson Mills.<br> <br> He had been active in the Jefferson City School Foundation and the Jefferson Library Board, and was a former member of the Brenau University Board of Trustees. Bryan was a former president of the Georgia Textile Manufacturers Association and member of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and the Banks-Jackson-Commerce Hospital Authority.<br> <br> Bryan graduated from Georgia Tech in 1950 with a degree in textile engineering and was a member of the school&#39;s Engineering Hall of Fame.<br> <br> (A complete obituary can be found elsewhere on this site.)<br> <br>
