FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) The Arkansas football team went through a two-minute drill Thursday to conclude its final practice before meeting Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday at Little Rock.

The Razorbacks worked outside during the first part of the 70-minute practice, then moved inside for the end-of-game drill.

``We had a good mental day and we played very fast both offensively and defensively,'' coach Houston Nutt said. ``That's what we want Saturday night. We want to win the turnover margin and take care of the ball. Those are the things we emphasized today.''

Nutt said several players were recuperating well from recent minor injuries, including defensive tackle Marcus Harrison, defensive end Zach Snider and flanker Cedric Washington.

``Marcus really came back,'' Nutt said. ``That's the thing I appreciate about these players, because it hasn't been easy. Nobody likes to lose. He came back and had one of his better days.

``Zach Snider had a concussion and it's a delicate issue,'' Nutt said. ``When he gets hit just right the headaches come back, so Dean Weber has to monitor him very closely. We're hoping he's going to be OK. I think Cedric Washington should be OK. He's got a slightly pulled hamstring, but I think he'll be full speed by Saturday night.''

Kickoff for the game at War Memorial Stadium is set for 6 p.m.

(Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press.
