Tigers can clinch home field with win

COMMERCE - Commerce can clinch second place and a home game in the opening round of the Class A playoffs next week with a win over Athens Academy Friday night at home.

The Tigers (5-4, 2-1 in region) have won three of their last four games. Athens Academy (4-4-1, 2-1) has lost two of its last three games.

Social Circle (5-3-1, 3-0) clinched its first-ever 8-A title last week with a 21-14 win over Athens Academy.

Jefferson (5-4, 1-2) travels to play Social Circle already with fourth place and a playoff berth in hand, no matter the outcome.
