Music City Bowl: Minnesota 20 Alabama 16

NASHVILLE, TENN - Marion Barber the Third and Laurence Maroney each rushed for over 100 yards as Minnesota downed Alabama 20-to-16 in the Music City Bowl at Nashville Friday.<br>

Barber and Maroney are the only runners to go over 100 yards against the Crimson Tide this season. Barber gained 187 yards, including a five-yard touchdown run that put the Golden Gophers ahead to stay in the second quarter. Maroney added 105 rushing yards as the Gophers finished the season 7-and-5.<br>

Minnesota's first touchdown came on Keith Lipka's fumble recovery in the end zone.<br>

The Tide ran for minus-two yards in the first half and finished with just 21 yards for the game. Spencer Pennington threw for 243 yards and a touchdown for the 6-and-6 Tide.
