Another fatality-free holiday weekend on NE Georgia roads

UNDATED - It appears northeast Georgia made it through the New Year's holiday weeked without a traffic fatality - just as it did Christmas weekend.

The State Patrol said early Monday there were, however, 12 fatalities around the state and 415 injuries - both resulting from 1,345 accidents.

In northeast Georgia, there were 95 accidents, 45 injuries, and, again, no reports of fatalities.

The holiday counting period ran from 6 p.m. Friday to midnight Sunday.
