Mercer falls to Florida Atlantic in OT

MACON - Mike Bell hit a crucial 3-pointer and Florida Atlantic outlasted Mercer 104-101 in triple overtime Monday night.<br> <br> James Odoms, who had 30 points, hit a 3-pointer to put Mercer (6-3, 2-1 Atlantic Sun Conference) ahead 95-94 early in the third overtime but Bell, who scored 29 points, answered with a dunk to give the lead back to Florida Atlantic (2-8, 1-2 A-Sun).<br> <br> After the Bears reclaimed the lead, Bell&#39;s 3-pointer in the final minute put the Owls ahead 103-101, and a turnover with 10 seconds left cost Mercer a chance at a final shot.<br> <br> Bell had 15 rebounds, and Quinton Young had 22 points for Florida Atlantic.<br> <br> Wesley Duke had 20 points for Mercer, which was only 23-for-40 from the free throw line.
