GAINESVILLE - The agenda for the first meeting of the new Hall County Commission is a lengthy one.

Many of the items on tap for discussion at Monday's work session - the first meeting for Chairman Tom Oliver and commissioner Billy Powell - deal with yearly organizational issues. Oliver, Powell and returning commissioner Deborah Mack were sworn in December 28. They are joined on the board by holdover commissioners Debra Lynn and Steve Gailey

The county has announced that work sessions will continue to be held on the second and fourth Mondays this year but will be at 3:00 instead of 2:00 as in recent years. Regular meetings will be on the second and fourth Thursdays, at 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m., respectively.
