CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Warren McLendon scored 19 points and pulled down eleven rebounds to lead The Citadel to a 76 to 65 victory over Georgia Southern this afternoon.<br> <br> McLendon went six-for-13 and Kevin Hammack added 13 points for the Bulldogs (9-3, 2-1 Southern Conference), who took a 35 to 29 lead into halftime on Travis Smith&#39;s three-pointer from half-court that beat the buzzer.<br> <br> The Bulldogs, who held Georgia Southern to 29 percent shooting, extended their halftime lead to 40 to 32 four minutes into the second half.<br> <br> Georgia Southern (6-7, 1-2) was led by Terry Williams and Donte Gennie, who both scored 12 points. Jean Francois added ten and pulled down seven rebounds.<br> <br> The Eagles started the game with a 7 to 2 lead. The Citadel went on a 9 to 2 run to take the lead, but neither team had more than a six-point lead in the first half.
