AGL rate hike hearings begin Tuesday

ATLANTA - One of the primary natural gas suppliers in Hall County - Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) - goes before the PSC tomorrow for the start of hearings on a rate increase request.

Atlanta Gas Light is requesting an annual revenue increase of $24.6 million - which translates to around a dollar-forty ($1.40) per month for the average residential user.

AGL is also requesting that it be allowed to continue to annually increase a separate rate charged to customers for pipeline replacement.

Additional hearings are scheduled in March and April.
