GAINESVILLE - Charges against two Gwinnett County men arrested Thursday on Georgia 365 near Gainesville for allegedly transporting chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine have been dropped.

Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) officers say tests of the substances found in the trunk of the men's car show they were not what the agents thought they were.

Authorities thought one of the substances was a type of ammonia used in the manufacture of ammonia, but it turned out to be counterfeit ammonia which, one officer said, the pair was apparently peddling as the real thing. Agents were not sure what the other substance was and the tests have been inclusive.

One of the men - 56 year old Anthony Dinocco of Sugar Hill - has been turned over to Gwinnett County authorities where he was wanted on unspecified charges. 34 year old Wiley Todd Hutto of Buford was released, however, MANS agents say there is still the possibility that Hall County may eventually file some sort of charges against one or both of the men.
