Atlanta waives draft pick Pruitt, signs Melton

<p>The Atlanta Falcons waived rookie safety Etric Pruitt and signed linebacker Terrence Melton from the practice squad before Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.</p><p>Pruitt, a sixth-round selection from Southern Mississippi, was dropped in favor of Melton, who played in the CFL last season.
