The USA debut of the 2003 Stunt Riding world champion will be a highlight of this weekend's 2004 Suzuki Superbike Showdown at Road Atlanta, the next-to-the-last event on the 11-race American Motorcycle Association (AMA) 2004 AMA schedule.

The three-day event, which begins Friday with qualifying, moved to this weekend at the request of the AMA, but Road Atlanta officials say it will include the same AMA Chevrolet Superbike doubleheader that has been featured the last six years at the track. The move means four-time Road Atlanta winner Mat Mladin could clinch his fifth AMA Chevy Trucks U.S. Superbike title at one of his favorite tracks.

In addition, Christian Pfeiffer of Germany will make his North American debut with two stunt exhibition shows both Saturday and Sunday. Pfeiffer is the reigning Stunt Riding World Champion.
