New bank planned in Oakwood

OAKWOOD - A new player in the banking field in Hall County is planning to open a branch bank in Oakwood.

Washington Mutual, which has six branches within a 25-mile radius of Gainesville, will locate its first Hall County office in the Robson Crossing Shopping Center at Blackshear Place.

The Seattle-based banking company hopes to open the Oakwood office shortly after the first of the year.
