Lady Spartans rally to beat Pickens in Area 7-AAA showdown

OAKWOOD - And then there was one.<br> <br> The Class AAA No. 6-ranked West Hall girls volleyball team remained unbeaten in Area 7-AAA play after rallying to beat Pickens County Tuesday night.<br> <br> Pickens also came into the match undefeated in area play.<br> <br> West Hall (11-7, 7-0 in area) took the win 2-1 but came from behind in the second game to keep the match alive. Pickens (13-4, 6-1 in area) took the first game 25-20 and had a lead late in the second game before the Lady Spartans rallied to win Game 2 27-25. West Hall took the match with a 25-11 win in Game 3.<br> <br> Pickens will be off until playing host to Johnson and North Hall next Tuesday. The Lady Spartans will travel to Suwanee for a tri-match with Class AAAAA schools North Gwinnett and South Forsyth Thursday.
