``We really tried to put an emphasis, a lot like we did last year when we went to Texas, on trying to close things out and concentrate,'' Nutt said. ``Especially for our younger guys, we want them to know that when you go on the road you have to concentrate twice as hard.''
Fans and the media usually can attend Razorbacks practices, but Nutt closed Monday's two-hour session. He said during that time he emphasized the importance of quick starts against conference opponents on the road.
He had good reason. The last time that Arkansas and Florida met in 1997, the Gators had a touchdown off the opening kick and went on to win 56-7.
``You dont want to get in a hole,'' Nutt said. ``Then the crowd gets into it. You don't want to give them any gifts. Those are the things we were talking about.''
Also on Tuesday, senior tailback DeCori Birimingham had a full workout after he was bothered by a hip pointer against Alabama. The team says he should be ready to go this weekend.
Arkansas and Florida kick off at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The game will be nationally televised by CBS.
