BRASELTON - Tim Weinhart of Buford shot a 32 on the back nine Thursday to capture a one-stroke lead after the first round of the Georgia Open with a 5-under-par 67.<br>

Todd Peterson of Atlanta, Duluth's Jae Han and Jon Hough of Acworth tied for second at 68 on the par-72 Legends course at Chateau Elan. One stroke behind them were Stephen Keppler of Kennesaw, Russ Davis of Acworth and the tournament's low amateurs Canton's Thomas Baker and Carter Collins of Claxton.<br>

The field in the 72-hole tournament will be cut to the lowest 60, plus ties, after the first 36 holes.<br>
