Cleveland Highway bridge work scheduled

GAINESVILLE - Work is expected to begin this fall on the reconstruction of the Longstreet and Bell's Mill Hill bridges on Cleveland Highway north of Gainesville.

The Georgia Department of Transportation's Teri Pope says its hard to say, right now, how long it will take to finish the work. Pope said the work is similar to the work being done on the Queen City Parkway bridge in Gainesville.

The $4 million contract was awarded to Gilbert Southern of Peachtree City.
