Future Masters first round begins for 17-18 and 15-16 age groups

DOTHAN, ALABAMA - Mark Silvers of Savannah, Ga., shot a 6-under-par 64 Thursday for the first-round lead of the 17-18 age division in the Future Masters golf tournament.<br> <br> Sonny Williams of Clinton, Miss., and Walker Stinson of Montgomery, Ala., both shot 67 at the Dothan Country Club to tie for second place in the 54-hole tournament.<br> <br> Drew Maliniak and Todd Heinz, both of Collierville, Tenn., and Ryan Blue of Bogart, Ga., all shot 68s in a three-way tie for fourth.<br> <br> Bradley Johnson of Birmingham, Ala., shot a first-round 4-under-par 68 Thursday to lead the 15-16 age group at the Highland Oaks Golf Course.<br> <br> Kyle Cobb shot a 69 to finish second. Hudson Swafford followed with a 70 for third place. Both Cobb and Swafford are from Tallahassee, Fla.
