Two dead in Apache helicopter crash at Fort Stewart

<p>Two pilots of an Army Apache helicopter died when it crashed Tuesday night at Fort Stewart.</p><p>The Army didn't immediately say what caused the crash. There wasn't any bad weather at the time.</p><p>The helicopter went down in a wooded area about five miles east of Richmond Hill at Fort Stewart.</p><p>The aircraft was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division's 1st Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment based at Hunter Army Airfield, about 30 miles away from Fort Stewart.</p><p>The names of the soldiers killed in the crash will be released after their families are notified. There was no other crew on board.</p><p>The U.S. Army Safety Center is sending a team to investigate the crash.</p>
