BOE to continue budget hearings

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville School System's proposed budget and tax rate hike will be up for discussion again Monday.

The Gainesville Board of Education is scheduled to hold the second of two planned public hearings Monday at its offices on Oak Street.

The board has under consideration a $38 million budget which may require a property tax rate increase of .40 mill to finance.

The hearing begins at 5:00 p.m.
