Two Miss Georgia hopefuls from Gainesville

COLUMBUS - Gainesville will be well-represented at this year's Miss Georgia Pageant which begins Friday when the contestants are are scheduled to arrive in Columbus.

Katy Sulhoff, 19, and Julie Campbell, 20, both of Gainesville; Rebekah Faythe Rotton of Metter, a Brenau University student; and, Katie Baughman, a student at Georgia State who has performed with the Gainesville Symphony Orchestra are among the contestants.

Sulhoff, a freshman at Brenau University in Gainesville, is the reigning Miss Chattahoochee. She is a North Hall High School graduate who is the daughter of Roger and Nancy Sulhoff of Gainesville.

Campbell is a junior at the University of Georgia. She is the current Miss East Georgia and is the daughter of James and Debby Campbell of Gainesville.

Rotton, like Sulhoff, is a Brenau freshman and is the reigning Miss North Georgia Mountains.

Baughman is the reigning Miss Georgia State University. She is a junior at GSU, and has performed with the Gainesville Symphony Orchestra as a violinist.

Preliminary competition begins Tuesday June 22 with the new Miss Georgia scheduled to be crowned Saturday June 26.
