Georgia Right to Life picks between Rogers, Smith

UNDATED - Georgia Right to Life has issued an endorsement in the race for the State House seat now held by Carl Rogers of Gainesville.<br> <br> The group&#39;s Political Action Committee has endorsed Clint Smith of Gainesville, a former Republican member of the State House of Representatives, who is seeking a return to the legislature and is running in the July 20 GOP Primary.<br> <br> Smith&#39;s opponent is incumbent and Republican newcomer Carl Rogers, who announced earlier this year that he was switching from the Democratic Party to the GOP.<br> <br> Also on the ElectionWatch, Chip Pearson of Dawsonville has named Rusty Paul, former chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, to be his campaign chairman in his race for the 51st District State Senate seat.
