<p>Three teenagers in the state drowned in separate incidents over the course of about a day.</p><p>Police found the body of Travis Jones, 17, on Friday in about 45 feet of water in an abandoned Catoosa County rock quarry. A cliff-diving friend jumped Thursday from a 50-foot rock face accidentally landed on top of Jones, authorities said.</p><p>"The ledge kind of protrudes," Catoosa County Fire Chief Chuck Gass said, "and if you're standing out on it you can't see where you're jumping."</p><p>About 40 teens were present at the quarry as part of an end-of-school tradition, Catoosa County Sheriff Phil Summers said.</p><p>About 130 miles south, Dennis Gray, 18, of LaGrange was swimming with friends at West Point Lake when he drowned in 11 feet of water, Troup County Sheriff Donny Turner said.</p><p>His friends couldn't save him, and it was about 25 minutes before a paramedic pulled him out of the water. He was pronounced dead Thursday afternoon.</p><p>Amnon Craine, 17, of Suwanee became the third drowning victim Friday when he went under near McEver Road bridge on Lake Lanier.</p><p>Divers from the Hall County Sheriff's Office found Craine under 21 feet of water. He died later at Northwest Georgia Medical Center.</p>
