GHS's Niles, White's Adams win state titles

ALBANY - Gainesville's Lauren Niles defended her Class AAA state discus title Friday with a throw of 117 feet, 5 inches on her final attempt.

Niles beat second place Chenice Bridges of Carrollton by nearly three feet.

In other state winner's in the area, White County's Kim Adams won the Class AAA pole vault with a state-record jump of 10-feet even.
