White's Fuller hurdles AAA competition for state title

JEFFERSON - White County&#39;s Weston Fuller won the state championship Saturday in the Class AAA 300 intermediate hurdles with a time of 38.16 to beat his closest competitor by nearly a second.<br> <br> The Warriors, however, did not have anyone else place in the Georgia High School Association Class AAA Boys State Track and Field Championships on Saturday.<br> <br> Three northeast Georgia schools finished in the top 10 in the meet.<br> <br> Elbert County finished in a third-place tie with Monroe just 11 points behind state champion Mary Persons.<br> <br> Franklin County took fifth with 38 points and Stephens County was seventh with 28 points.<br> <br> Elbert&#39;s Devon Huff won the 800-meter with a time of 1:57.09 while his teammate Jermaine Thornton took third with a 2:00.08 time.<br> <br> In the 110 high hurdles, Keelan Knox of Franklin County took second and Shane Jackson of Elbert County was third.<br> <br> Here are the final results of the 2004 Georgia High School Association Boys State Track and Field Championships on Saturday. <br> <br> Class AAA<br> <br> 4x100-meter relay<br> <br> 1, Washington Co.
