Public high school graduation begins

GAINESVILLE - The end of the school year Friday brought with it the first graduations at public high schools in Hall County.

Things got underway at 7:00 Friday night at the Georgia Mountains Center where North Hall seniors picked up their diplomas. An hour later at the Gainesville High gym, around 200 GHS seniors graduated.

Also, Friday night, another of the private schools in the county - Heritage Academy - held its graduation at Blackshear Place Baptist Church.
