FORSYTH - A Forsyth County law officer was among those memorialized Friday at the state's Public Safety Memorial Wall in Forsyth.

The 2004 Peace Officer Memorial Day was held Friday morning on the grounds of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in the middle Georgia town.

The ceremony paid tribute to the nine Georgia peace officers who were killed in the line of duty last year.

The list includes David P. Land, a Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy, who died March 26 2003 when his sheriff's office motorcycle wrecked while he was responding to a fight call involving two motorists on the side of a highway near Cumming.
