Auburn police chief resigns

UNDATED - The Auburn City Council is looking for a new police chief - less than a year after hiring Rick Townsend. <br> <br> Townsend has announced his resignation, after eleven months on the job, saying only that he is leaving for another job. <br> <br> Also in Barrow County, the county commission has hired Sue Gallagher as Human Resources Director, replacing Tommy Esco who resigned a few weeks ago. <br> <br> <br>
