Eagles' doubles team qualifies for GISA state tourney

ATLANTA - Riverside Military Academy's Robert May and Drew Parvin, the No. 1 team on the Eagles tennis team, finished second in the Region 1-AAA GISA tournament Thursday to qualify for next week's GISA state tournament.<br>

They advanced to the finals before losing and are 8-1 as a team on the season.<br>
<br>
In other action for the Eagles at the region tournament, No. 1 singles player Penn Swindle fell in the first round to the No. 1 player from Fellowship Christian 10-5.<br>
<br>
John Woodhams at No. 2 singles lost to a player from North Cobb Christian 10-4. Russell Fontenot at No. 3 singles won his first round match but lost in the second round to North Cobb Christian's Tanner Jackson.<br>

The No. 2 doubles team of Jon McRae and Scott Money won their first match against Arlington Christian in the opening round by a score of 10-4. They lost to the team from Fellowship Christian 10-2 in the second round.
