Fire Marshall David Kimbrell said the fire started around 10:30 a.m. when the occupant of the house, Terri Nuckles, poured gasoline on the engine of her car hoping it would make its way into the carburetor .
"The car was a total loss," Kimbrell said. "And it caused about $90,000 damage to a $150,000 home."
Lt. Milan Braselton and firefighter Kevin Dean were slightly injured; both were treated at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and released.
Nuckles was not injured. The home is owned by her father Donnie Nuckles.
