Lady Lions win 8-A North title

GAINESVILLE - The Lakeview Academy girls tennis team swept Towns County 4-0 Thursday to win the Region 8-A North title.<br> <br> The Lady Lions already had advanced to the state tournament by making the subregion finals.<br> <br> Cassie Martin at No. 1 singles, Amey Kearns at No. 2 singles and Dianna Briggs at No. 3 singles all won to clinch the match.<br> <br> The No. 1 doubles team of Katie Clark and Sabrina Bhole also won as the team did not drop a set in the win.<br> <br> Lakeview will play Jefferson, the No. 2 seed from the South subregion, Mondat at Lakeview in the region tournament.
