Lady Spartans sweep LaGrange

FLOWERY BRANCH - The West Hall girls tennis team swept past LaGrange Wednesday in the first round of the state playoffs.<br> <br> The Lady Spartans dropped just two sets in taking the 5-0 win.<br> <br> Sallie Martin at No. 1 singles and Britney Whitaker at No. 2 singles both won in straight sets. Martha Vital at No. 3 singles rallied from one-set down to win.<br> <br> In doubles, the No. 1 team of Lindsey Paulson and Alex Minniti won in straight sets while the No. 2 team of Jessica Van and Catrina Rosa also rallied from one-set down to win.<br> <br> It is not known yet who the lady Spartans will play in the second round.
