Springlike weather in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE - Have you noticed that the Bradford Pears and Jonquils around town are beginning to bloom? Spring is still two weeks away, but this week has brought with it the warmest weather in Gainesville since around Thanksgiving.

Wednesday's high of 75 made it the warmest day since November 23. And, it was the third straight day of 70+ readings. That hasn't happened since early November.

Just a week ago, Gainesville was covered in several inches of snow.

Spring arrives March 20.
