GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA - One week after our area was basking in springlike weather that pushed temperatures 12-15 degrees above normal, welcome back to reality: snow is forecast for some places Tuesday and Tueday night.

Reports of snow started coming in about daybreak - from White and Habersham counties.

The National Weather Service in Greenville, S.C. says snow will amount to only a trace and be confined to the counties along and near the South Carolina line - including Franklin, Habersham, Hart, Stephens, Elbert, and Rabun.

However, thunderstorms, that's right, thunderstorms, could lead to heavier amounts is some places.

The weather service says with warm ground temperatures, any snow should not be a problem for motorists because it will melt as it hits the pavement.
