GAINESVILLE - Got any property in Hall County you'd like to donate to a worthy cause?

Habitat for Humanity could be what you're looking for.

Spokesman Dennis Machida says Habitat has just finished the first of six houses it hopes to build this year, on Cagle Road. Ground was broken September 21 for that dwelling and its construction was sponsored by Grace Episcopal Church.

Machida says Habitat will be constructing a second on Norwood Street, but "we are short a few lots to finish the third, fourth, fifth and sixth houses."

Machida says they are looking for lots suitable for single-family dwellings, anywhere in Hall County.

"We are restricted to the county line but we are willing to take a look at any property out there."
