Johnson sweeps Fannin in soccer action

OAKWOOD - The Johnson soccer teams took a sweep over Fannin County Thursday night.<br> <br> The Johnson boys (8-1) whipped the Rebels 8-2 behind three goals and an assist from Francisco Arellano. <br> <br> Dan Fifer had two goals and Genel Madrigal, Jesus Noriega and Jeff Chittaro each scored once for the Knights.<br> <br> Matt Abernathy got the win in goal stopping six Fanniin shots.<br> <br> The Johnson girls held of the Lady Rebels for a 3-1 win.<br> <br> Meagan Hanes scored late to break 1-1 tie and Haley Padgett sealed it with another goal just minutes later.<br> <br> Padgett also had an assist. Katie Dunn also had a goal for Johnson (7-2-1).
