Cole undecided about running again

GAINESVILLE - Hall County Commissioner Roger Cole says he has not decided whether to seek a second term - and hints that if he does run for public office again, it might be for another position.

Cole was commenting following the announcement that homeowner activist Augie DeAugustinis plans to seek the post he now holds.

"I've been receiving a lot of support to run for another term," Cole said. "Much of the urging has come from people wanting a slower rate of population growth and lower property taxes."

Cole said, however, that before deciding "I need to finish a health assessment and meet with my family."

"The decision to run and if so, which office I'll seek will be made in about five weeks," he added.
