Towns boys net win over Lions

HIAWASSEE - The Towns County boys tennis team rallied in the doubles matches to take a 3-2 Region 8-A North win over Lakeview Academy Monday.<br> <br> It was the first region loss for the Lions (3-4, 2-1) this season.<br> <br> Lakeview took a 2-1 lead after the singles play with Chris Gatti and James Francis taking wins at Nos. 2 and 3 singles. David Ellis was beaten at No. 1 singles.<br> <br> Francis needed three sets to beat Hank Clay at No. 3 singles.<br> <br> The Lions&#39; Payden Sewell and David Burleson were beaten at No. 1 doubles by Towns County&#39;s Shea Taylor and Jared Wright 6-3, 6-3.<br> <br> Matt Wirt and Chase Ollis lost 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles for Lakeview to Towns&#39; Chris Nelson and Eric Barrett at No. 2 singles.
