New Hall literacy spelling bee champion

GAINESVILLE - For the first time in nine years, there's a new Gainesville-Hall County Alliance for Literacy Spelling Bee champion.<br>

The First United Methodist Church team - Suzanne Zoller, Ruth Bruner, and Michelle Alexander - knocked off defending champion Grace Episcopal Church. <br>
<br>
The team from Grace - which finished second - was shooting for its tenth straight title. <br>
<br>
Fourteen teams from churches, schools, businesses and other organizations participated in this year's fund-raiser which was held at Brenau University.
