Late mayors son receives probation in drug case

<p>The son of the late Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson has been sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to selling marijuana.</p><p>Maynard H. Jackson III, 32, also was sentenced Monday to 40 hours community service.</p><p>Jackson was arrested New Years Eve after undercover Atlanta police officers accused him of selling them $160 worth of marijuana. Fulton County district attorneys spokesman Erik Friedly said the five-year probation was not unusual.</p>
