OAKWOOD - The Class AAA No. 3-ranked Johnson Lady Knights wanted to make sure they would not fall victim to the upset on Senior Night Saturday against Chestatee.

Johnson jumped on the Lady War Eagles early building leads as big as 21 in the first half en route to a 69-40 win.

Sophmore Whitney Randolph led Johnson (18-5) with 14 points. Senior Amanda Towe scored 13 in her final game at home. Brooke Baker added 10 for the Lady Knights.

Johnson coach Benji Wood said they wanted to take nothing for granted."We wanted to get a win on Senior Night for our seniors," he said. "We didn't play as well as I would've liked but our emotions were running a little high, but it was Senior Night."

Johnson led 15-6 after the first quarter and then led 35-16 at halftime. The Lady Knights put the game away with an 18-8 fourth quarter.

Anna Bailey led Chestatee (7-14) with a game-high 17 points.
