FLOWERY BRANCH - Flowery Branch guard Beth Adcock wasn't sure exactly how many assists she had Tuesday night against No. 3 Johnson, but it was at least seven.

And all seven of those went to freshman Chelsea Fadl, who poured in a season-high 23 points to lead the No. 13 Lady Falcons to 75-69 win over the Lady Knights.

The win for the Lady Falcons (16-7, 3-4 Region 7-AAA South) kept them one-half game ahead of East Hall for third in the subregion and just one-half game behind Johnson (18-6, 4-3) for second with one game left.

Flowery Branch will travel to West Hall Friday while Johnson must play at No. 1 Gainesville.

Flowery Branch jumped out to a quick 13-0 lead but the Lady Knights came storming back using a run of their own to cut it to 19-12 after the first quarter. Johnson kept the momentum going outscoring the Lady Falcons 22-11 in the second quarter to take a 34-30 halftime lead.

But then the Adcock-to-Fandl connection got going. Flowery Branch turned the tables in the third quarter using an 11-2 run to get the lead back. The Lady Falcons then opened the fourth quarter with a 15-6 run to blow the game open. They held on down the stretch.

Kristina Tyler added 18 points for Flowery Branch. Adcock finished with 16 points and Courtney Newton 10.

John was led by Brooke baker's 24 points. Erin Tyre and Sarah Lane each had 10 for the Lady Knights.
